President's Message
Hello members, what fantastic weather we're having. Enjoy
these next few weeks before the humidity returns for the summer.
It's been a very busy time, but I hope you will mark your
calendar for the upcoming GCA event this month. Our hosts,
Tom and Chuck are planning a fun afternoon BBQ so please just
bring all the extras to share.
I wish to thank Tim and Dottie for last months gathering
on the "prairie". It was unusually quiet but I must
say it was one of the most comfortable few hours, with great
conversations, and excellent food, not to mention the surroundings
and the great sunset. A great venue!
Please check our website; www.gcaonlineorg for all upcoming
event details and directions. I am expecting a couple of dates
to be created for members to enjoy in the upcoming weeks so
stay tuned for their announcements. I also am awaiting any
member to come forward to host any of the open dates for 2008,
especially November and December. Please refer to the newsletter
and the website for the complete list. Link up with some other
members if you feel it is too much for
just yourself. We will assist and help defray costs, as usual.
Contact me at 352-284-3881 (cell) or reach any GCA Board member.
If you learn of any interesting events locally and would like
to let the membership know, contact Gordon to get it out to
the listserv.
On a personal note, May is my birthday month (yes, a Taurus)
and this year is one of the noted ones. Let's just say that
I am pouring over my plethora of Medicare A, B, C, and D brochures
and guides. I feel wonderful and I am so thankful for all
the blessings that I have in my life, including GCA and its
impact on so many individuals. I am planning a trip to Massachusetts
in May and will also be celebrating my sister's birthday with
family members.
Wishing you all a great May and don't forget to smell the
roses (and the jasmine).
