The Gainesville Community Alliance (GCA) is a social membership organization that provides an environment in which gay. lesbian, bisexual, transgendered people, and their friends have opportunities to meet through educational and social activities.

President's Message for January, 2012

For our 20th Anniversary Party, more than fifty members and friends gathered at the historic Cox Warehouse for fine food, music, and camaraderie. My heartfelt thanks to all our members for making GCA a social success for more than twenty years!

If it's January we must be having a Potluck at Greg Johnson's home. We appreciate Greg's offer to host each January and look forward to seeing many friends there. If you have not yet renewed your membership for 2012 now is a good time to fill out a membership form, write a check, and bring it to the Potluck. See information elsewhere in this newsletter.

I wish you all a happy and prosperous 2012, Earth Crust Displacement notwithstanding, transiting the ecliptic and entering the Age of Aquarius once more. We are working on a special evening in February with a private showing at the Kika Silva Pla Planetarium at Santa Fe College. Watch for further information in the February newsletter.

Finally, 2012 is a major election year. I hope you will exercise your right to vote and participate in the campaign process as you see fit.
